Heavy Equipment Foreman

RPS Environmental is a comprehensive stormwater and wetland maintenance and construction firm that services a number of industries. Our home office is based in Castle Hayne and our fleet of heavy machinery boasts the most cutting-edge equipment available. We are in search for an experienced Heavy Equipment Foreman.

Monitor attendance and crew clock in & clock out times according to the schedule
Supervise and train crew members
Call in 811 locates whenever digging is required on the job site
Call in to obtain DOT permits when required
Fully comprehend site plans, blueprints, 811 locate markings, manage email, and electronic software devices
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, and OSHA guidelines
Complete, oversee, and enforce on site Job Hazard Analysis Reports
Safely and skillfully operates all types of Heavy Equipment
Perform, oversee, and enforce daily equipment & vehicle preventive maintenance checks
Work with the crew when not operating equipment
Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Manage crew members and work well with others
Ability to communicate with irate customers tactfully and professionally
Convey information to clients, crew members, other employees, and supervisors effectively

Position Requirements

Minimum of 5 years heavy equipment experience
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
Valid driver’s license with class “A” CDL
Ability and willingness to travel out of town on occasion
Overtime and weekend work on occasion
Must pass background check and drug screen
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
